Pat and Tyler on their own!

So this weekend I had to work.  Pat and Tyler decided to go to the cabin without me.  The finished the framing for the deck, cleaned the pine needles off the roof, and started our new wood pile.  It's looking good and I will go with them next weekend.  Next weekend is Labor Day Weekend and there should be lots of fun to be had!

Great friends, food, drinks, and Annual Mountain Festival.

This weekend we had some great friends come to our cabin.
We went to the Annual Camp Nelson Mountain Festival,
We took them up to the Ponderosa Lodge.  We showed them all around.
We had some delicious food and great drinks and talked late into the night.
It was a great time for all.

EXHUASTION!

Ok, so this weekend Tyler had a going away party for a friend and wasn't able to go to the cabin with us and help Pat.  I volunteered to take his place...Never Again :)  I am so sore from head to toe.  Needless to say there are only a couple of pics this time as I had to work and not take pics.  Enjoy...

I don't want to look at another screw for the rest of my life!

Bonding Time!

Spanky was the watcher!

The beautiful view.
 It's all gone!!
We went out for a few drinks to celebrate!
Now the work begins!!

This weekend Pat and Tyler worked side by side.  They finished re-routing the plumbing, they had to add boards to the back porch so we can use it while the new porch is being built, and they tore down the front porch.  PROGRESS.

Prepping the boards

So all the boards we purchased needed to be routed on the sides.  We purchased a pallet of them that were not routed because we got a great deal on them.  Some of the boards are 10 feet long, some are 16 feet long.  We are routing them at our home in Downey before we transport them up to our cabin.

Starting to Build a New Deck/Porch - The Before Pictures

The small little porch on our cabin is deteriorating and we need to replace it.  In the next few months I will be updating our blog with pictures of the process.  My husband will be using the Trex line of products.  They are a composite wood and are made for areas with harsh conditions.
